This Victorian, knapped flint ex-gamekeepers cottage is located at the bottom of a hill in Surrey. A substantial concrete retaining wall, faced in flint, was built to enable a two storey extension to be constructed at the rear of the property.

The front porch was carefully dismantled and a two storey extension built in its place to house the staircase, before the porch was rebuilt on the side of the new extension.

The rest of the house was substantially remodelled and refurbished, including dealing with a large amount of asbestos which was found during the works.

At a later date, we built a treble garage with a self-contained studio flat built into the roof. Again, this was partially built into the hillside.
